5. Leave your Bulldog unattended near a pool or body of water. They do not swim!!! If they should accidentally fall into water be prepared to jump in after them. If the water is a river canal or lake be prepared to jump in and look for them under the water. Best to keep them on a leash at the end of your arm and at a safe distance rather than to experience the fright of seeing them disappear to parts unknown where they cannot breath. 6. Pull or tug on a bulldog puppys ears. A Bulldog ear has to naturally rose to achieve the proper look. A fold will naturally occur on the backside of the puppys ear. Pulling on the ear can case improper ear development. DO: 1. Buy durable, tuff toys. A Bulldog even as a puppy can destroy most anything. Small toys which a bulldog can put in their mouth can be chewed to bits by their strong jaws. Kong toys, large rope toys, large cow hooves, sturdy balls are best. A bulldog will quickly rip a plush toy and begin to eat the stuffing and plastic rubber squeaky toys will quickly become small pieces to be ingested. 2. Use a squeaky toy to lure the Bullie to bath. As they love squeaky toys but usually and quickly destroy them use them for bath only. It makes coaxing a rather large and bulky bullie to the bath a lot easier. 3. Buy toys that you can play tug-o-war with your Bulldog. This seems to be their favorite game and you can play along. 4. Feed 100% pure pumpkin to correct loose stools or constipation. It is natural and works great!!! 5. Feed ice cubes to cool down a hot Bulldog. A cool bath and ice cubes will do wonders for a hot bullie. 6. Bath your bullie often. They cannot groom themselves past their front paws so bathing often is necessary. Always take care to dry the fold around the face and tail to prevent yeast infections.
